Final MIAA statewide compilation poll

Updated: Dec 6, 2018

Every week, we put together a statewide compilation poll that includes our rankings along with that of Suite Sports, the only other human statewide poll we know of. We combine that with the two computer polls of record, calpreps and Massey.

1. North Andover (12-0) — No. 1 everywhere except calpreps, which had the Scarlet Knights No. 3 behind St. John's Prep and Springfield Central.

2. St. John's Prep (10-2) — Finished tops in calpreps, No. 2 everywhere else.

3. Everett (10-1) — Fell to No. 4 in calpreps, but third everywhere else.

4. Springfield Central (11-1) — Top 6 everywhere and No. 2 in calpreps.

5. Xaverian (8-2) — No. 4 in the human polls, fifth in calpreps, sixth in Massey.

6. Central Catholic (8-3) — Top 7 everywhere, and No. 5 in Massey.

7. Catholic Memorial (9-3) — Highest in Suite Sports (5), lowest in calpreps (8).

8. Tewksbury (11-2) — Anywhere between Nos. 7-11, with calpreps the high point.

9. Scituate (12-1) — No. 9 everywhere but MassVarsity (No. 11).

10. King Philip (9-3) — No.8 in both human polls, and outside the top 10 in the computers.

11. Duxbury (11-1) — No. 10 everywhere but Suite Sports (13).

12. Nashoba (12-1) — All between Nos. 10-12, with Suite Sports the highest on the Chieftains.

13. Acton-Boxboro (9-2) — Either Nos. 13-14 everywhere.

14. Stoneham (12-1) — Anywhere between No. 12 (Suite Sports) to No. 17 (Massey).

15. Lincoln-Sudbury (9-2) — Pretty decent consensus, with calpreps the lowest at No. 17.

16. North Attleboro (8-3) — All between No. 16 (calpreps) and No. 19 (Suite Sports).

17. Franklin (7-4) — Lowest at MassVarsity (20), highest at Suite Sports (17).

18. Mansfield (8-3) — Only outside the top 25 in Suite Sports.

19. St. John's (S) (8-4) — Lowest in MassVarsity (23), highest in Massey (15).

20. Hingham (7-3) — Pretty decent consensus, with everyone between Nos. 18-21.

21. Old Rochester (11-1) — Only outside the top 25 in the computers.

22. Methuen (8-3) — Highest in MassVarsity (18) and Massey (21), but outside the top 25 in Suite Sports and calpreps.

23. Gloucester (9-3) — Highest in Suite Sports (25) and calpreps (15), outside the top 25 in MassVarsity and Massey.

24. Danvers (8-3) — Only outside the top 25 in MassVarsity.

25. (tie) Canton (8-3), Reading (8-3) — A dead heat numbers-wise, and no real good way to break the tie, as both teams had a split among human and computer polls.
